The trip is over

This week my family and I made the 2100 mile drive from Texas to New Hampshire. We passed through Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts on the way. As we wait for the movers to bring our stuff, we have a moment to thank God for the new life and new opportunities that he has put in front of all of us.Moving a great distance seems to bring with it increased stress and anxiety. There are so many details to take care of that the whole process can be overwhelming. However, during this time, we breathe a sigh of relief knowing that God is with us. In Philippians 4:6 - 4:7, Paul tells us, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."So, whether you're moving or you are anxious about something else, remember what Paul wrote. Present your prayers and petitions to God so that you may gain the peace that "transcends all understanding."
