The waiting...
I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I put my hope.My soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning, more than watchmen wait for the morning.
(Psalm 130:5-130:6, NIV)
I feel like the Psalmist that wrote the passage above. I feel like I am waiting on the Lord for a number of things to happen in my life. So, this morning, the question I am asking myself is, "What do I do with the free time?" I feel as if I have a certain amount of free time as I wait for the circumstances in my life to reveal God's will. So, I am trying to figure out what to do with the free time.I know that one thing I am doing during my free time is working on my relationship with God. When the future is revealed, I want to be ready to move full-speed ahead. So, I am spending time with God and allowing Him to prepare my heart and soul for the future. I am allowing Him to rejuvinate my heart and my soul so that I am ready to give 110% to whatever He asks me to do.I am also living more in the present as I wait upon the Lord. I am finding and enjoying moments in the present, moments with family and friends. I believe that while I am waiting I am seeing more easily opportunities just to "live in the moment" with those I love the most. So, my advice to anyone that is waiting upon the Lord is simple. Don't waste the time waiting. Use the time to live in the moment; to find moments to enjoy friends and family and to find moments to enjoy the Lord. If you do these things, then at the end of this period you'll have rediscovered some things about those around you and you'll have given the Lord the opportunity to prepare you for what's next.
