Shame on me
Wow, I hadn't realized how long it has been since I last posted an entry. I have been very busy over the past several weeks, but that is no excuse for not taking the time to write an entry or two. This week I am in Michigan. There is snow on the ground and there has been a snow flurry or two since I've been here. The winter weather reminds me of my days as a boy living in upstate New York. When I was a boy, I loved to cross-country ski. I could ski for hours in the woods near our home. The woods were quiet and I was able to clear my head, think, and see things in a new way.I was not home on Sunday so I attended the Nazarene church in Escanaba, Michigan. I was thankful for the opportunity to see how another Nazarene church conducted morning services. The pastor was energetic and brought an excellent word about having joy in our lives because we are living for God. His message came from 1 Thesselonians 5:16-24 and I provided a link below.LinksLighthouse Church of the Nazarene: Escanaba, Michigan1 Thessalonians 5:16-24 (from Biblegateway.com)
